Most Popular Batman Games
The character of Batman from DC Comics is the favorite of not only children but also of adults. No wonder, Batman has appeared in a number of video games for more than 20 years, from various platforms. In some of these games, Batman is the central protagonist, while in some others he has a relatively minor role. However Batman games are intensely popular. Here are some of the most popular Batman games.
Adventures of Batman and Robin
Batman The Animated Series was perhaps the most perfect depiction of Batman in the 90s. At least it encouraged much finer games than the cinematic versions did. All the settings, equipment, enemies and music presented in the game were either inspired or directly taken from the cartoon. Therefore it had a touch of authenticity unequalled by any erstwhile Batman game.
Lego Batman 1 & 2
With Lego Batman, a modern era of gaming arrived. Combining humor, challenging gameplay and Legos’ child-like fun with one of the most famous superheroes of all times make these games undeniable winners. Wisely enough, these games understand that being a hero every time is no fun and therefore you can play as The Joker, Catwoman and hoards of other characters from the Batman’s world, at various points in the game.
Batman: Arkham Asylum
This title made wishes, dreams and hopes of all of us true. It has the passionate fighting and a wide array of gadgets. Besides, a full program of villains is present. Slyness and the surprise element are necessary for battle strategy and are integral part of the game mechanics. Even a “Detective Mode” is available through which the gamer sees something resembling x-ray version, an effort to visualize a large number of ways. Batman evaluates a situation. This is the closest of the true Batman experiences any player has expected from a game.
Batman: Arkham City
Mostly all of you will agree that this sequel is better even than its precursor. Rather than being restricted to grounds of Arkham Asylum, the gamer can explore a vast open world, journeying across an entire city which serves as a prison. There is an improvement in the previous Freeflow combat and Detective Mode. There are numerous Riddler challenges and as a pleasant surprise, most tools you owned at the end of the last game are carried over to the start of this game.
Batman: Arkham Origins
And the latest of the Batman games has arrived now as Batman Arkham Origins which has been set with a storyline 5 years prior to that of the Batman: Arkham Asylum of 2009. You find a younger and less polished Batman here, wearing a bounty on the head placed by the crime lord, Black Mask, drawing eight greatest assassins of the world to Gotham City on Christmas Eve. The game received overall positive reviews but was criticized too for duplicating content from the earlier Arkham games without any improvement or with unnecessary modification.
