Project Zomboid – Sure to Engage You for Hours
Project Zomboid informs you “This is how you died”, as you first enter the zombie-infested rural America and try to survive this isometric disaster sim. Whether it is dying of hunger and thirst, bleeding in the forest far from first aids or being consumed by zombies while scavenging in a deserted house, the Grim Reaper scrapes everybody off his list. Project Zomboid is one of the most feature-rich, detailed zombie titles available, appealing that anyone vicious enough to wish to experience the zombie catastrophe should take it for a spin. The title has been developed by “The Indie Stone”.
Every lonely, depressing life in Project Zomboid is a complete saga full of small yet valuable victories and embarrassing failures. Each game opens up a series of tragic legends and the lethal random world ensures that every effort feels unique.
The tale of your death starts even before you wake up to witness the end of the world. You can become victim later, first you will have to be god. As the creator of the zombie apocalypse, you have a lot of options to build the broken world as per your wish. What sort of zombies infest the world, how many times survivors get loot, how long it takes for electricity and water to turn off – there’s very little you can’t fiddle or tweak with. What remains the same is the layout of both the maps.
The aim of the game is to survive anyhow, with more and more difficult environments which get only more difficult as the game is being more developed in the coming days. 2 modes are available – “Til Death Us Do Part” Tutorial level and the more outstanding “Sandbox mode”.
You are primarily thrown into a random house in the town with nothing except clothes and a bottle with no water in it. Your objective is to find food, drinks, weapons, medicines and other materials to help you survive the zombie apocalypse. You also have other enemies to fight with than zombies like starvation, dehydration, tiredness, boredom and illnesses. You have to stop yourself from submitting to these problems by exploring the map for food, remembering your bedtime, building fortifications/crafting items to stay away from boredom and most importantly not getting scratched!
When the world is fabricated into existence, its single survivor (that’s you) in the town of Muldraugh, Kentucky, is the last object to be created. The town is a small place where a wretched turn of incidents has left you fighting against hundreds of zombies. The aesthetic customization is limited by a few hairstyles, different skin tones and two genders. The plain character models and minimalist art style makes every person look somewhat similar to each other.
Project Zomboid is a fantastic game for you if you love a little challenge. If so, the game is sure to engage you for hours.
