cc c cleanerSo, you’re computer is getting slower and you wouldn’t like to buy another one yet? Is there any way to optimize your PC? There are some great online PC tuneup services that will optimize your computer for affordable price. But, before that, you can do something by yourself.

Remove bloatware or unnecessary software, since they usually slow down computers dramatically, although many manufacturers include them. There are some PC “de-crapifying” software solutions that automatically remove known unnecessary software. Uninstall all programs you don’t need in the Control Panel. If you are not completely sure whether you need some or not, Google its name before getting rid of it.

Update your Windows by yourself. It is build so average clients can do it by themselves. Modern versions are commonly set to instal latest software updates automatically. If, however, you are not ready for this (easy and simple) step, ask for professional help.

In case you have been using your PC for a while, try running CCleaner utility. It’s excellent and free and it will probably free up your disk space. The program scans PC for unnecessary system files and temporary files that should be deleted. Click delete and you will free up disk space. You can also use a registry cleaner, if you want to, although it is fairly helpful.

Run antivirus scan for malware. This is exactly what technicians are doing, but you can also do it by yourself (if you would like to skip the payment). Windows 8 users already have Defender software installed. For older versions, there is a possibility to instal free MS Security Essentials. If you don’t like MS programs, use AVG or avast! for antivirus purposes. Both are free and solid alternatives.

Disk defragmation is done automatically and periodically. If you want to do it on your own, just open the tool (Disk Defragmenter) and run the operation. On Windows 8 the tool is named “Optimize Drives”.
