Path of Exile MobileSo far, it has been seen that bringing PC games to the mobile platform has not given results as expected although it has a lot of scope for dazzle and pomp.

However, although Grinding Gear Games knows this fact well, they have announced that they would be bringing their hit title Path of Exile to the mobile platform. The mobile version of the free-to-play action RPG game has been given an uneventful name – Path of Exile Mobile and is being developed in-house.

Path of Exile was released in October 2013, followed by a version of Xbox One released in August 2017 and a PlayStation 4 version released in March 2019. Now the latest games news is that the mobile version will be released, though the exact date of the release was not announced.

The studio claims that it will totally lack “bullshit trends” such as pay-to-win elements and microtransactions. In other words, Path of Exile Mobile will bring the main Path of Exile game to mobile in a plain basic form with no embellishments.

The announcement of the release of Path of Exile Mobile was made by Grinding Gear Games last week at ExileCon. Trevor Gramon who is funnily called the “Mobile Fall Guy” by the studio cleared in the announcement trailer that Path of Exile Mobile will be brought with absolutely no compromise. A brief gameplay demo was also shown in the trailer. The trailer gives gamers an idea of what they will get.

Jonathan Rogers, the co-founder of Grinding Gear Games, assured gamers that Path of Exile Mobile will be totally devoid of irritating mobile game additions like time gates, microtransactions, pay-to-win structure, notifications and video ads. It was also announced that the same team that developed and worked on the first Path of Exile game as well as its successor, Path of Exile 2, will develop Path of Exile Mobile.

It was emphasized by Grinding Gear Games that Path of Exile Mobile is actually the original game customized for smartphone screens and shorter gaming sessions in mind.

However, it was not cleared when exactly the Path of Exile Mobile will be released for iOS and Android platforms. It was also not cleared by the studio on how the game will be made up, which of the elements of the core Path of Exile will be retained/skipped/reduced for its mobile version.

So, are you excited to play Path of Exile on your mobile devices?
