WoW Movie Finally Shooting in 2014

This movie will be helmed by director Duncon Jones, known for directing Moon and Source Code. This film is long-term planned, but the shooting has been delayed. Sam Raimi, the director of Spider-Man and Evil Dead originally signed up to helm a film based on this game back in 2009, but several months ago, he claimed this long-awaited project was held up because of mismanagement on the Blizzard’s behalf. 

Last month Activision Blizzard said that only in the first quarter of 2013 WoW has lost more than 1.3 million subscribers. Further declines are expected as the year progresses, said Bobby Kotick, Activision boss. For that reason, it’s necessary for the Blizzard to release new content more frequently in order to keep their fans engaged, to attract new players and to return lapsed players.

A month ago, Blizzard confirmed that next game, codenamed Titian is currently undergoing large technology and design changes. This unannounced MMO will be released until 2016, according to reports. But,when it comes to WoW movie shooting, it will definitely begin approximately 6 months from now, as Producer Charles Roven told.
